Rise, like lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number!
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep had fallen on you:
Ye are many—they are few
Percy Bysshe Shelley, The Masque of Anarchy
I wanted to do something for Pride. I wanted to do something for Black Lives Matter. So here is a dark rainbow—a black lion for Black Pride. I auctioned the original for charity on Twitter, resulting in a donation to GLAD and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, which felt good. I now have prints available through my online store, a portion of the sales from which will go to the ACLU.
Prints are in stock and available here!
I am also selling metallic prints of my Lady in Black California Condor, with a portion of the sales donated to the National Aviary, which is doing critical conservation and research for endangered birds and their habitats. The Aviary has a special place in my heart as it is one of the highlights of my (usually) annual trip to Pittsburgh for AnthroCon… which is not happening this year. Like many places the pandemic has made life difficult for them, and I want to give back as best I can.
Lady in Black prints are in stock and available here!
Be well everyone!
