This little colored pencil portrait of the Heliopause mascot, Astrhopi the Heliopause Pony, has been kicking around my workspace for several months. As I’ve just finished one big project (the Lucena cover) and am beginning another (Professor Odd Season Two), I took the opportunity to finish her. I am very happy, not least because this means the Heliopause twitter account will get a new icon at last! (I take great joy in little things.)
In addition to being the mascot for Heliopause Productions, Astrhopi is part of a loose triad of chimeras that represent my Creator-Preserver-Destroyer trinity. She is flanked by Rhondi (creative force) and Dagrhi (the devourer of evil). More of her can be seen flitting around the Heliopause website.
